Find clues to solve the mystery of Bouchard's Treasure . The only pirate in California. Bouchard had a prison exchange near Monterey to get his crew back and other prisoners. He then sailed to Dana Point to restock supplies. On December 14, 1818 Bouchard attacked Mission San Juan Capistrano, damaging the Governor's house, the King's stores, and the barracks. One of the pirate prisoners from the prisoner exchange escaped with a Map and the King's Treasure Chest . This chest has never been found until NOW! A treasure chest was found in the Dana Point caves recently with the date 1818 and the King's Seal. It has a special lock that no one yet has been able to open. Dr. Charles Santiago Marine Archeologist has the artifacts located in his Dana Point Office located at what is now called waterman's plaza.
